This is a full-time hourly position, plus bonus. Work schedule will be Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed. This position reports directly to the Department Crew Leader. Job duties and work hours are subject to change at any time.

WORK PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION

•Operate large excavating equipment in an industrial setting unloading material from various types of trailers.
•Sort material by type and place in proper storage area.
•Communicate with fellow employees on operating procedures and securing material.
•Move material from storage to production conveyor.
•Perform pre and post operational checklist on equipment to maintain optimum operation of equipment on a daily basis.
•Follow all safety rules of the facility.
•Follow instructions from the crew leader of the department.
•Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
•Compliance with Employee Handbook
•All other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Minimum of three years' experience operating large excavating equipment on a daily basis.
•Capable of sitting and operating equipment on a 9-hour work schedule.
•Ability to work in all weather conditions.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This is a full-time hourly position, plus bonus. Work schedule will be Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed. This position reports directly to the Cut-Grade Crew Leader. Job duties and work hours are subject to change at any time.

WORK PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION

•Using a torch supplied by oxygen and natural gas to cut steel to the required specifications for shipment to consumers.
•Ability to identify the different grades of ferrous metal for proper sorting.
•Maintain all torching equipment on daily basis in order to achieve maximum operation of equipment.
•Maintain and preserve all required personal protective equipment that is required to perform the job.
•Follow instructions of crew leader to perform the daily tasks and follow safety rules.
•Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
•Compliance with Employee Handbook
•All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
•Ability to work in environment that has above normal heat conditions.
•Ability to wear personal protective respirator, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, face shield, steel toe boots and full sleeve gloves.
•Ability to work standing 9 hours per day.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

WORK PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION

•Operate Manual 10 Speed/13 Speed Transmission or
•Operate F350 pickup with car hauler trailer
•Required to maintain 70 hr./8-day DOT Logs (Electronic)
•Ability to manage time and be efficient in loads per dispatch assignment
•Perform daily DOT/DVIR Pre & Post Trip Inspections of Truck and Trailer.
•Ability to hook/unhook equipment (Dry Van, Flat bed, Dumps - side or end, steel high/low side, and roll off boxes - experience preferable)
•Ability to safely secure cargo (tarp, strap, chain, climb 6 ft. ladder, etc.)
•Ability to lift 50 lbs.
•Pick up and delivery of scrap metal
•Ability to communicate in professional manner with customers at pick up/delivery of materials.
•Follow all safety rules of the TSIMCO facility and customer's facility.
•Follow instructions of crew leaders of the department.
•Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.

•All other duties assigned. (When loads are not available, work may be assigned in warehouse.)

This individual will maintain production and quality by ensuring safe and reliable operation of heavy, support and fleet mobile equipment by having a basic knowledge & skills of mobile maintenance to include, but not limited to: troubleshooting, PM and work order execution relative to mobile maintenance applications such as cranes, front end loaders, forklifts, skid steer, telehandlers, material handlers, OTR Fleet, rail road support equipment, support vehicles, heavy mobile service & support equipment and implements such as grapples and buckets. This job works closely with other department leaders to include department leadership, Planner & Scheduler, Plant Management, Safety Coordinators and the Maintenance Manager to ensure a total approach to mobile maintenance & reliability are achieved when it comes to mobile Asset Health & utilization. Such work must be held while upholding a high standard applicable to safety, TSIMCO guidelines/procedures and applicable state and federal regulations as mandated for our type of operation, including but not limited to appropriate environmental guidelines.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

•Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
•Conserves mobile maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
•Provides mobile maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
•Prepares mobile maintenance documents by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
•Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
•Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
•Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
•Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems on support, production & maintenance equipment in the recycling industry.
•Repair and replace damaged or worn parts on mobile equipment
•Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
•Operate and inspect fleet or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
•Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
•Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
•Repairs and assesses malfunctions, rebuilds and performs maintenance on recycling equipment to include, but not limited to: cranes, front end loaders, forklifts, skid steer, telehandlers, material handlers, OTR Fleet, rail support equipment, support vehicles, mobile service & support equipment and implements such as grapples and buckets.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•High School diploma.
•Diploma or Certification in Diesel & Heavy Equipment Repair preferred
•Minimum of 5 years' experience
•Operations of heavy and commercial equipment
•Good general working knowledge of mobile maintenance equipment as noted.
•Good general knowledge of mobile equipment tools and diagnostic systems.
•General knowledge in cutting and welding a plus.
•Good communication skills: verbal and written in English.
•Knowledge in Reliability Centered Maintenance practices, a plus.
•Knowledgeable in mobile maintenance procedures & work order execution.
•Knowledgeable in reading specifications, drawings, schematics and technical information.
•Familiar with personal computers and Microsoft environments.
•Familiar with Work Order Management Systems.
•Familiar with hydraulic, electrical & pneumatic systems.
•Familiar in PM development. & execution
•Familiar with Machine Lubrication Technology.
•Proficient in the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to: fall protection, respirators and PPE.
•Able to handle physical aspects of plant.
•Ability to travel in respective areas of business
•Valid D.L.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS

•Employee will sit, walk and climb
•Occasionally required to sit while in company office
•Must be able to walk comfortably up to a mile daily
•Frequently will be required to push/pull and climb ladders no greater that 20ft. at a time
•Requires balance and equilibrium when climbing ladders; walking platforms or support equipment in elevated areas up to 30 feet in evaluation
•Frequently required to reach above shoulders to climb ladders and occasionally standing
•Light to medium level work; exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and /or 25 pounds of force frequently, and /or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
•Regularly requires use of both hands for grasping and fine manipulations for repetitive motions
•Constantly required to hear sounds and have clarity of near, far and peripheral sight with depth perception
